Halal Indo 2025 Builds a Globally Competitive Halal Industry Ecosystem
Indonesia, as one of the countries with the largest Muslim population in the world, is solidifying its position to become a key player in the global halal industry. Various initiatives are underway, including the formation of an inclusive, relevant, and globally competitive halal industry ecosystem.

In line with this ambition, Dyandra Promosindo hosted Halal Indo 2025’s Media & Influencer Gathering with the theme “From Lifestyle to Global Industry: Indonesia’s Path to Becoming a Halal Hub” at the Paragon Community Hub. This event, which aims to build a more modern, sustainable, and globally recognized halal industry ecosystem, is part of the Halal Indo 2025 exhibition series, scheduled to take place from 25-28 September 2025, at ICE BSD City, Tangerang.
Kris Sasono Ngudi Wibowo, Head of the Halal Industry Center at the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, welcomed the initiative, stating that Indonesia must capitalize on the positive momentum of global economic growth and the halal industry to achieve its commitment of becoming a key player in the world market. The first step, he emphasized, is to strengthen the ecosystem to ensure global competitiveness.
As part of efforts to strengthen the national halal industry ecosystem, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia continues to accelerate the development of Indonesia’s halal industry at national and global levels through various integrated programs focused on strengthening the national halal ecosystem and industry competitiveness. Key strategies include strengthening regulations and policies, developing halal ecosystem infrastructure, facilitating halal certification for small and medium-sized industries (IKM) and micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM), halal-based product and industry innovation, promotion and export of halal products, as well as global collaboration and halal diplomacy. Additionally, market expansion is continuously pursued through international cooperation and participation in global exhibitions, as well as awards through the Indonesia Halal Industry Awards (IHYA). However, building the halal industry ecosystem in 2025 requires the role and support of all parties. Therefore, Kris expressed his highest appreciation to Dyandra Promosindo for consistently supporting the government’s commitment to advancing the domestic halal industry through Halal Indo 2025 exhibition.
“This year, our focus is on attracting more buyers so that industry players can benefit from commitments and transactions. The main objective of Halal Indo 2025 is to provide an overview to all stakeholders, industry players, the public, and international buyers that we are ready to face the challenges and opportunities for halal industry development,” explained Kris.
Muhammad Adi Yasir, Senior Head of Stakeholders Relations at Paragon Corp, stated that Halal Indo 2025 is a significant step towards opening doors for more partnerships and market expansion. He added that Paragon Corp is very open to exploring collaboration opportunities to accelerate the development of the halal industry in Indonesia.
“Collaboration is one of the important keys to advancing the halal industry. At Paragon Corp, our actions are always driven by the spirit of usefulness. So, in collaborating with anyone, we are committed to always providing benefits to halal industry players, the community, the government, and the Indonesian economy as a whole,” he said.
Ismi Puspita, Project Manager of Halal Indo 2025, said that Halal Indo 2025 will not only cover the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and fashion sectors but will also add new business sectors: education, tourism, and Islamic finance. These will be showcased across 387 booths in a 3,886 sqm area. Halal Indo 2025 targets USD 380 million in transactions and commitments with 13,000 visitors, both local and international.
Halal Indo 2025 will feature several programs, including the Media & Influencer Gathering, Business Coaching, Indonesia Halal Industry Expo (IHYA), a series of Talk Shows under Halal Connect, and Business Matching sessions. Additionally, Halal Indo 2025 serves as a platform for collaboration with government, communities, media, industry players, and the general public. Through various engaging programs and strong collaborations, Halal Indo 2025 is expected to be a strategic platform for promoting Indonesia’s leading halal products, enhancing international cooperation, and expanding export markets.
“We believe that to realize this vision, we cannot do it alone. Stakeholders are a synergy that makes us stronger, to elevate Indonesia’s name in the global halal industry. Today, we want to share this spirit and open up the widest possible space for collaboration,” she explained.
