Investment and the Expanding Halal Economy

Two-day forum at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre will connect business leaders, investors, policymakers and industry specialists across the global Halal economy.

London, UK – 5th October 2026 – The second edition of the London Halal Forum will take place on Oct 10, 2026 Oct 11, 2026 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, bringing together business leaders, investors, policymakers, buyers and industry specialists to explore the opportunities shaping the global Halal economy.

Held under the theme “Halal Tayyib for Humanity”, the forum will examine the growing role of halal as an economic ecosystem extending beyond certification and food into investment, tourism, technology, supply chains, branding and international trade. The forum is organised by Halal360, a strategic joint venture between the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) and the Halal Products Development Company (HPDC).

From Certification to Commercial Opportunity

A central focus of this year’s programme is the evolution of halal from a certification-led concept into a wider commercial ecosystem. Sessions will examine how businesses can enter new markets, attract investment, build trusted supply chains, strengthen brand equity and use technology to scale. The programme will cover Saudi Arabia’s halal ecosystem and its connection to Vision 2030, institutional capital and Shariah-compliant investment, customer acquisition and retention, the halal traveller economy and the strategic role of the UK within the global halal market. Further sessions will explore Nigeria’s halal strategy and opportunities across Africa, the Turkish airline model for connecting global halal markets, strategic M&A and value creation, and the role of storytelling in unlocking economic opportunity across OIC markets. H.E. Mr. Yousef Hassan Khalawi has highlighted the broader direction of the sector, noting that the halal economy is increasingly moving beyond certification to encompass how companies access markets, attract investment, build trusted supply chains and use technology to grow.

London as a Platform Connecting Global Markets

The London Halal Forum combines a business conference with an international exhibition, B2B meetings and specialist industry platforms. The programme includes the Halal Expert Corner, providing one-to-one advisory meetings focused on market readiness and strategic positioning, alongside 55th District, the Halal Technology Zone and the Islamic Art Showcase. The B2B programme will connect buyers with certified suppliers and create opportunities for partnerships, distribution and market entry. The Halal Technology Zone will showcase emerging technologies and digital solutions supporting the development of the sector, while the Islamic Art Showcase will highlight Islamic geometric design, Arabic calligraphy, decorative arts and traditional craftsmanship.

Technology AI and Policy

Technology and innovation will feature prominently in this year’s programme. Halal AI will focus on developing AI solutions for the halal sector, supported by specialist masterclasses covering halal-compliant artificial intelligence, Ottoman Islamic art, HPDC investment, and Moroccan ornament and contemporary design. The forum will also include a dedicated Policy Roundtable, bringing stakeholders together to discuss policy recommendations supporting sustainable growth across the global halal economy.

Palestinian Business and International Hospitality

The programme will feature a special Palestinian Breakfast, available by VIP invitation, showcasing products from Palestinian businesses and highlighting Palestinian culinary heritage and its international commercial potential. The wider programme continues with the Global Business Excellence Gala at Jumeirah Carlton Tower London, held in partnership with the AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy, followed by an exclusive Turkish Dinner hosted at the residence of the Turkish Ambassador in London. Together, these elements position food, hospitality and cultural exchange as platforms for commercial relationships and international engagement.

Media and the Global Halal Narrative

Media and communications will form part of the wider agenda through Halal Echo, bringing together media leaders and thought influencers shaping the international narrative around the halal economy. The forum will also mark the launch of Menara Global, a platform connecting Muslim stories, ideas and expertise with international audiences, exploring how stronger representation and storytelling can create economic opportunity. The programme will examine how influencers and strategic communications can bring the sector’s opportunities and success stories to wider audiences, reflecting halal’s evolution into an economic and lifestyle ecosystem.

Building on the First London Edition

The 2026 forum builds on the inaugural London edition in 2025, which brought together more than 1,500 participants physically and virtually, over 35 international speakers, and an exhibition featuring halal products from more than 10 countries, supported by more than 20 sponsors and partners. With an expanded programme covering investment, policy, technology, artificial intelligence, tourism, culture and media, the London Halal Forum 2026 will provide a platform for businesses, investors, buyers, policymakers and industry experts to connect and explore opportunities across the global halal economy.
