by travelandtourworld.com

Switzerland Tourism launches a unique campaign with Buttonscarves, targeting Muslim travelers in Southeast Asia by promoting halal-friendly experiences and scenic landscapes.

Switzerland Tourism’s Innovative Campaign Targets Muslim Travelers

Switzerland Tourism has launched a distinctive campaign in partnership with Buttonscarves, an Indonesian luxury scarf brand, to attract Muslim travelers. This initiative features Indonesian influencers wearing headscarves from Buttonscarves’ exclusive Switzerland series, which showcases the country’s stunning natural landscapes.

Engaging Influencers to Showcase Switzerland’s Beauty

The campaign highlights Switzerland’s picturesque scenery through the lens of popular Indonesian influencers. They wear headscarves adorned with beautiful prints of Swiss landscapes, offering a unique and culturally resonant way to connect with Muslim audiences. According to Batiste Pilet, Director for Southeast Asia at Switzerland Tourism, the campaign has been well-received by the Indonesian Muslim community.

Expanding Switzerland’s Appeal in Southeast Asia

This collaboration is part of Switzerland Tourism’s ongoing efforts to engage with the Muslim market in Southeast Asia, particularly focusing on Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. The organization is actively enhancing its services to accommodate Muslim travelers, including offering halal food, prayer spaces, and Muslim-friendly accommodations.

Partnerships and Travel Guides for Muslim Audiences

In an effort to cater to this growing market, Switzerland Tourism has teamed up with the media company Have Halal, Will Travel to launch a travel guidebook designed for Muslim travelers. The organization has also contributed articles and curated self-guided itineraries to help Muslim tourists explore Switzerland in a way that suits their needs.

Familiarization Trips and Tailored Campaigns

Switzerland Tourism has organized familiarization trips for Muslim travel agencies, allowing them to better understand the offerings available in Switzerland. Pilet shared that the organization customizes its messaging based on local consumer behavior to ensure the most effective outreach in each market.

Promoting Off-Season Travel and Sustainable Tourism

As part of its “Travel Better” initiative, Switzerland Tourism is promoting off-season travel to encourage visitors to explore lesser-known destinations and enjoy Switzerland’s diverse landscapes year-round. The initiative advocates for longer stays, the use of public transportation, and venturing off the beaten path to discover hidden gems across the country.

By continually adapting its approach and forging strategic partnerships, Switzerland Tourism is successfully engaging the Muslim travel market and encouraging sustainable tourism practices that benefit both travelers and the environment.
